The idea behind LOFTSHELL®

LOFTSHELL® vs. classic Hardshells

Classic hardshell jackets are often based on a 3-layer construction, consisting of a durable outer layer, a waterproof membrane and a protective layer on the inside.

This construction undoubtedly offers excellent protection against wind and weather, but it also has significant disadvantages. The often stiff construction restricts freedom of movement, while breathability is limited by the closed membrane.

Heat can build up, especially during high levels of physical activity, as moisture cannot escape quickly enough. This leads to perspiration forming on the inside of the jacket due to a lack of air circulation.

LOFTSHELL®, on the other hand, uses an innovative 2-layer construction that combines an elastic outer layer with a high-performance comfort layer. This material technology not only offers excellent weather protection, but also a significantly higher degree of freedom of movement, breathability and increased comfort.

The ultra-light G-LOFT® Climate Lining effectively transports moisture to the outside so that no unpleasant moisture forms on the skin, even during high levels of activity. The innovative material composition guarantees 100% comfort in a wide range of uses and temperatures.

This sophisticated moisture regulation ensures an optimum microclimate inside the garment - a decisive advantage over conventional hardshells.
